Rick Hoffman specializes in land-use, entitlements and governmental affairs in the Inland Empire, putting the knowledge he has gained through almost 20 years in Riverside County government and politics to work for his clients.Mr. Hoffman has extensive technical expertise in transportation, land use, flood control and water issues. A native of the Inland Empire, he has served Riverside County as a Planning Commissioner, the City of Hemet as a Parks Commissioner and as Legislative Assistant to Fifth District Supervisor Marion Ashley and Chief of Staff to thenThird District Supervisor Jim Venable.Mr. Hoffmans years of government service allow him to move effectively between the worlds of public service and private industry. He often can bridge the gap that sometimes exists between what private developers want to build and what government agencies and officials want to see built. His ability to bring both sides to the table and work toward effective solutions makes him an invaluable asset to his clients.Mr. Hoffmans public service was instrumental in helping with the establishment of the Riverside County Water Task Force, which produced an ordinance that guides water conservation efforts in Riverside County. Such expertise on water issues serves his clients well as they seek crucial water supply assessment letters from local water providers, documents that are required before development can proceed. Mr. Hoffman also is intimately acquainted with transportation and other infrastructure issues. As an Administrative Manager with the Riverside County Transportation Department, he helped write the countys TUMF ordinance, which raises money for major arterial streets and roads throughout the county in order to accommodate and make possible further economic growth. Working with companies that often have millions of dollars worth of carrying costs connected to a piece of property loan payments, taxes and the like Mr. Hoffman assists with obtaining entitlements as quickly as possible, which reduces overall costs for his clients who otherwise could spend months or years entangled in red tape. Mr. Hoffmans years of experience in the areas government and development communities allow him to work effectively with developers to hone their projects to reduce the amount of time that is devoted to satisfying government regulations. San Jacinto College and served as vice-chairman of the Salton Sea Advisory committee for the State of California. He was also General Manager for the Ramona Pageant association and later served on that organizations Board of Directors including two terms as President. In 2012 Rick was elected to the Lake Hemet Municipal Water District's Board of Directors and is the current President of the Riverside Lincoln Club. Rick was born and raised in Hemet, where he lives with his wife, Michelle.
